Beating the Winter Blues: Resident Panel Discussion | January 21

Legacy Gardens at Canterbury Court

Legacy Gardens is absolutely the crown jewel of our campus. At more than 10 acres, this protected wildlife sanctuary is literally the center of campus, making it easy for every resident to enjoy all that the Gardens have to offer.

Under a stunning, mature canopy of trees, you’ll see lovely grassy areas that are the perfect place to picnic with friends, enjoy a quiet book and some alone time on a sunny spring afternoon, or let your grandkids run out some of their energy when visiting.

Throughout Legacy Gardens, you’ll notice way stations for the Monarch butterflies that inspired the name of our health center, Monarch Pavilion. The Gardens are home to beautiful robins, cardinals, sparrows, and many other types of birds, including some resident hawks that are always impressive to see. Walkways wind throughout the Gardens, taking you on a journey through a picturesque setting that only Mother Nature has the talent to craft.

Enjoying the Gardens isn’t only about relaxing. Our beautiful glass-enclosed resident greenhouse is one of the most popular features of campus. The greenhouse is the perfect place for delicate flowers and plants and for enjoying year-round gardening. For heartier plantings that enjoy being outdoors, personal gardening beds are available as well. From beautiful, color flowers to a huge variety of herbs, you’ll find a little of just about everything growing here.
