Beating the Winter Blues: Resident Panel Discussion | January 21

Canterbury Tales

Canterbury Tales, CTales, is the monthly newsletter prepared by the Residents and Staff of Canterbury Court for the enjoyment of the Residents, their friends and families, and prospective residents. It is published from September through June each year and is approximately 30 pages long. Residents and staff members send articles about their committees, department activities, travels, poems, jokes and stories to the Editor, a resident. There are 35 to 50 contributors to each issue.

Resident volunteers compile the articles and photos into the newsletter for printing, distribution and posting to the website. Photographs are taken of many of these activities to show the quality and variety of the life that goes on here and to recognize key contributors to the life of the community. Although Canterbury Court provides assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing care on-site for residents who eventually need it, Canterbury Court is a vibrant community rather than a nursing home.
