While Elizabeth Reynolds may still be considered a newcomer at Canterbury Court since she has just been at the community for a year and a half, she is a regular in the gardens.
“I’ve always been an exerciser and an outdoor person,” Elizabeth said. “It has really saved me during this pandemic. The gardens are very nice.”
Elizabeth and her dog Bella are frequent visitors to the gardens as Elizabeth is an avid walker. She walks six days a week for 30 minutes and Bella is usually with her. Bella has been dubbed “The littlest chaplain” by the residents since Elizabeth’s husband, Joe, is an Episcopalian priest.
“We knew a lot of people before we moved in,” Elizabeth said. “We are very comfortable here and Canterbury is very welcoming.”
Elizabeth and Joe grew up in Marietta and all three of their sons live in the Atlanta area so Buckhead and Canterbury are convenient and the garden is an added bonus. They live on the fourth floor and their apartment home overlooks both Peachtree Street and the gardens. Or as she described it, the best of both worlds. “It’s just been a good match for us. I am a huge extrovert and so it is perfect.”
